Yea, I got to go back on this cluster fark today to try and get it up and running.

The tech in pic 2 holding the gauges was recently certified on IQ drive so boss let him run with it.
Actually the guys did a good job, just could not make it run.

Now I've run into start up problems on only two of the IQ drives that we have installed and in both cases it was a faulty" kelvin converter " (controls 500 step electronic expansion valve).

But this was a new experience for us.
Major communication error between ALL components, nothing would run........................hmmm.

So, replaced "interface board" in air handler.
Now I have comm with AHU and blower is running but no comm with condenser.

Next step is to replace "inducer board" in the condenser.
Thats the big one that converts the 230 volt ac power to 320 volt, 3 phase dc power and shifts frequency.

At this point all of the components are communicating with each other and customer is happy that her and hubby wont be spending another night at the Hilton. Very Happy

As a side note.
It has been my experience that if you are going to have an issue with one of these systems it will be on start up.
Once resolved these Panasonic systems seem to operate trouble free.
